Johnson grabs first Wolves goal

Roger Johnson scored his first goal for Wolves and earned the club a late point in the 3-3 draw with Brighton.

Trailing 3-2 following a late Stephen Dobbie penalty, it was Johnson’s injury-time goal, his first since joining in 2011 that secured the draw.

“I’m disappointed it wasn’t the winner! But we showed decent character to come back and thankfully I got my head on a cross finally.”

“I’ve been dying for this goal and have been denied by defenders on the line or the woodwork but thankfully it went in this time.

“I’m so pleased as normally I score a few during a season and hopefully I can kick on now and get four or five.”

Johnson has become a firm fans favourite this season and a main stay at the heart of the Wolves defence with the 29 year old receiving plaudits from his manager and fellow team-mates for his form this season.
