First Artist successfully arranged and project managed FC Parma’s 10 day pre season tour. The Serie A high fliers played 4 fixtures across the UK and enjoyed a 5 day a training camp at London’s newest facility The Hive. Whilst in the capital the players and coaching staff were also treated to a private tour of London including front row seats for the changing of the guards and a VIP shopping spree at Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
On the pitch and in preparation for their opening Serie A game on the 28th August, Parma kicked off their tour with a credible 0-0 draw at the impressive Cardiff City stadium against a full strength Cardiff City side, who were putting the final touches to their own pre season plans with their first league game coming less than 7 days after the Parma fixture. The second fixture took the Italians to Kenilworth Road to face Conference side Luton Town, where a vocal crowd saw Parma run out 2-0 winners on the night.
After stepping up the gears in their London training camp, Parma concluded their tour with two back to back fixtures against Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion. At Carrow Road the Premiership new boys eased to a 3-0 win, while the final stop of the schedule saw a visit to The Hawthorns where despite Parma taking the lead the Baggies grabbed an injury time equaliser with the game finishing 1-1.
Parma manager Franco Colomba was delighted with the manner in which the tour was organised by First Artist and felt it was an ideal platform to increase squad fitness and get his team ready ahead of the Serie A season.
