In one of the most talked about moves of the January transfer window, former Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has returned to the UK to link up with SPL giants Celtic on a deal to run until the end of the season. Having spent the last 3 seasons in the MLS with Seattle Sounders and the Chicago Fire, Ljungberg felt the time was right to return to Europe and jumped at the chance to join Neil Lennon’s side. Speaking after the press conference Freddie added: Since I came to Glasgow, everything has been so positive, I realise it is massive here in Glasgow and I missed that passion. People get angry if the team doesn’t win and that’s something I thrive on.
“In America, the league is much better than it gets credit for but Celtic are a massive club and I have missed the passion for the sport. If you are looking for passion then it’s here. There is a great support, the fans and the passion are very good.”
